Privacy policy

NextCue keeps your tasks on your device. There are no accounts, ads, tracking or third-party analytics. Task content is not uploaded to developer servers.
1. Local data
The app stores task titles, notes, subtasks, schedules, tags, priority settings, completion history, trash and preferences locally to provide task management, sorting, search, reminders and recovery. The developer cannot read this information remotely. The app and its widget share a local App Group container for task snapshots and widget actions.
2. Notifications
If enabled, local notifications remind you about tasks with a specific time. Titles may appear on the Lock Screen or in Notification Center. You can turn reminders off in the app, or change notification permissions and previews in Settings. Declining permission does not prevent basic task management.
3. Backups and other services
Exported backups contain tasks, notes, subtasks, settings, history and trash. They are saved only to the location you choose. If you choose iCloud Drive or another cloud provider, that provider handles the file under its own policy. Device backups follow your system settings and Apple's services; the developer cannot remotely access or delete them. The app does not provide account-based or cross-device sync.
4. Retention and deletion
Local data remains until you delete it or clear it in the app. Deleted tasks first go to Trash. Permanent deletion removes that task snapshot; completion history is kept separately. Clear All Data removes current in-app tasks, history, trash and preferences. Exported backups, system backups and support emails are not deleted by this action. Deleting the app removes its local application data but does not guarantee removal of system or external backups.
5. Contacting support
If you email support, the developer receives the address, message and attachments you choose to send, solely to respond to and resolve your request. You do not need to send a complete task backup. You can request deletion of personal information in support messages using the address below, subject to any legally required retention.
6. This website
This website contains no ads, analytics scripts or tracking cookies. Its hosting provider may retain access logs for security and operation. If hosted on GitHub Pages, GitHub records visitors' IP addresses for security. See GitHub Pages documentation and GitHub's privacy statement. Website logs are separate from your app's task content.
7. Changes
If data handling changes, this page and applicable in-app notices will be updated. Features requiring additional permissions or consent will explain this when used.
